The chef was charming.

Staff tried very hard to please. Our room wreaked of cigarettes. They tried very hard to remove the smell, but, not successfully. The chef and his superb meal were the highlight of our stay.

Other than the smell of cigarettes, the floors were filthy. The socks that I wore to keep from touching the floor had to be thrown away at the end of our stay. Outdoor lighting was very inadequate. We had to feel our way to our room each evening. I know that mosquitoes are part of country living, but if we hadn't had to sleep with the doors open because of the cigarette smell, we may have not been eaten up so badly.

Dear Sirs, We are always so terribly sorry when among the innumerable letters and reviews of appreciation we have one like this one. We deeply regret about your disappointment. We nonetheless apologize for not having given what you were expecting and we take note of your complaints which are always very useful to improve the Villa standards . Best regards Monica
